Becoming a United Work and Travel host company employer is a wonderful cultural opportunity that you and your staff will never forget. The J-1 Summer Work/Travel Program is an excellent way to diversify your business while meeting your seasonal or temporary staffing needs.

There is NO cost to your company for offering employment to one of our J-1 Summer Work/Travel participants. However, there is a brief vetting and approval process that our friendly staff will gladly walk you through, step by step.

We offer three main seasons of J-1 Summer Work/Travel students – winter, spring and summer. Participants must earn at least the minimum wage for your area and receive fair and equal treatment. Participants must also be properly taxed and reported, and may not be paid in cash.
